How we check every question and note

By TNPSC Guide editorial team · Last updated:

The five steps

  1. Source page. Each item names where it comes from, precisely enough to check again: the notification PDF and its page, or the school textbook's class, chapter and page.
  2. AI draft. The question, its options, the explanation and the note are written with AI from that source.
  3. Separate check. Each question is solved again in a separate AI check that does not see our answer key. Where the two answers differ, the item is fixed before anything moves on.
  4. Founder sign-off. One unit's questions make one lot; the founder signs off the whole lot with its check record. Each decision is one dated row in our sign-off ledger.
  5. Version number. What is published carries a version number. That text never changes in place.

The sign-off ledger in numbers

The numbers below are counted from the ledger file when the site is built; nobody types them.

Previous-year questions

A previous-year question is copied from the official TNPSC question-paper PDF letter for letter, and doubtful letters are checked against the PDF page. It carries its year, paper, question number and answer-key status. The founder signs each paper off by its file fingerprint (SHA). Previous-year questions are never mixed with our own questions.

If you find a mistake

In the app, every question has a "Report an error" button: choose the reason, add a note if you like, and you get a ticket number. On the website, write to us through the contact below. A fix goes through the same steps as above and becomes a new version.

What "version" means

A published question or note is never edited in place. A correction makes a new version with its own date; the earlier version is kept, and an answer you gave stays linked to the version you answered.
