What the exam asks

The 2022, 2024 and 2025 Group 4 papers we read had three questions on this topic. 2022: an assertion and reason on micro irrigation (question 171; final key: both true, and the reason explains the assertion); the Std 9 book gives both. 2024: which crops India marked with a national year in 2018 (question 133; final key: millets). 2025: matching the world names of shifting cultivation (question 176); the pages we read give only the Indian names, not the world names. Crops with their leading states, the revolutions with their products, and the seasons with their months suit matching questions. The production ranks in this lesson (India's place in the world, the leading states, Tamil Nadu's place) and its percentage shares are for the years the book gives or its 2024 reprint; do not hold them as the answer to a question that asks about now.
